"If you're tired, you should definitely rest. Chouji has stopped hovering literally, but he makes up for it with some figurative hovering. She needs to take care of herself. He'll do whatever he can to help, reaching out a hand to support Hinata as her eyes close, just in case she really does fall asleep right where she sits.

"Here, you can lean on me if you need to." Chouji sits down next to Hinata. He has no idea whether he can do anything about exhaustion. It isn't precisely an injury. At the very least, he can do this. Maybe he can manage more, but this will work for a start.

She smiled at his concern. Really, Chouji-kun was the nicest out of the shinobi from their group. Even Kiba and Shino would have lectured her for pushing herself so far. A little rest would do her some good.

Yes, that sounded like a wonderful idea. When he sat down, she did use his shoulder as a head rest, taking the time to close her heavy eyes. "Thank...you...Chouji-kun," she manage around a huge yawn (covered up, of course!).

Chouji was too concerned for Hinata to be embarrassed by having her lean on his shoulder. She was a fellow Konoha ninja, a friend moreover, and she needed to rest. Obviously that was the most important thing, and Nala seconded that feeling, intensifying it. "You're welcome, Hinata," he answered contentedly, glad to be of some use.

Chouji reached out with a little of his own new power, seeing if there was anything more he could do. He let out a yawn of his own as he tried to ease Hinata's exhaustion somewhat.

So, when she heard Rin's voice coming from her journal, she put down the brush she'd been using to do calligraphy with and wiped her hands on a towel to make sure she didn't have ink on her hands, smiling happily the entire time.]

["Okumura-kun" reminds him that he wasn't just supposed to be saying her name without an honorific. A little regretful of his faux pas already, he sighs and just presses on] Oh, your cousin had a birthday? I didn't even know that, that's cool.

[He didn't even know she had a cousin here...] But I'm good ... whenever. Though if we're doin' it, I guess it's gotta be when everyone can get together to have it.

[Rin should realize that she doesn't care so much about how others address her. She's used to everyone picking the way that is most comfortable for them, but the propriety of her behaviour has been drilled into her head since birth.]

Yes, my older cousin has been here for a while and has just celebrated his birthday. His team mate and I were in charge of the party. Another friend from home helped me cook the food. I was...[A pause.]...hoping that you might find your way over there. But perhaps it is best that you did not.

I had not considered what jewelry to wear or even if I should wear makeup. I...normally do not bother with either.

If you don't want to then you don't have to. I just figured it would look really nice on you. You know Saori and I would help you out with that if you want. That is, if you decide to wear any at all.

Sure enough, once they are inside, she sees other dresses that don't look like they belong to street walkers all over the inside. One in particular catches her eye, the elaborate beadwork on the bodice drawing her attention.

She heads over to it and carefully lets her hand travel down it before lifting the skirt and sighing a little.]

This one is rather pretty, but it's the wrong color.

[Nodding assuredly, Saori inspects the dress Hinata picked out. It is pretty nice, and the craftsmanship is pretty fine.]

Well, they may have it in another color, if you ask? Sometimes you get lucky!

[She runs her hand down the white skirt of the dress, careful not to get the oils on her hands too much on the delicate fabric of the dress. She looked around before seeing another dress. A soft exclamation left her mouth before she slowly walked over to the dress that had caught her attention.]
