The Words of the Gentle One

She woke up from her nightmares in a sweaty heap, breathing heavily and trying not to cry. All she remembered was having the scene of Neji's death play over and over and over in her mind. It was a struggle for her to not bury her face in her hands and to let the tears flow. Something that she hadn't been able to do at that time, considering that they were in the middle of a war.

Although, that was the last memory she'd had from the war before she was whisked away to Luceti. Which was probably where she was again.

That thought had her looking around rapidly, eyes wide as they took in her surroundings. She was lying on a bed in a room that wasn't her bedroom in the apartment she shared with Sakura-san. In fact, it wasn't any place she was used to.

She was still in her regular clothes of flak jacket, pants, sandals and fishnets, which was reassuring, but left her with a bad taste in her mouth. She slid from the bed to look out of the lone window of the room she was in and seeing only trees. She couldn't see anyone or thing of interest when she activated her Byakugan. In fact, she couldn't see anything in the five kilometers that even her Byakugan allowed her to see. Nothing but trees.

"Where am I?"

August 10th ~ Shortly after Zampano's Death

[She'd fought beside both Saori and Yuuna at the plaza in Old Luceti, sustaining enough injuries to warrant a little fussing over. She deflected all worry about herself to make sure that Saori, who obviously had passed out from her leg injuries and the intense battle she'd gone through. No, Hinata wanted to make sure that the goddess was safe and under a fully capable healer's care while she dealt with what was warring inside of her, her false memories versus what she'd always known to be true.

If someone pushes her towards the smaller clinic where she normally works, Hinata will go to have her obviously broken arm set and the cuts, scrapes and few bites she's sustained  tended to.

She will stay close to Saori though, avoiding Neji, Naruto, Kiba, Rin, Bulla, and—most obvious to anyone—Sasuke.

However, after she knows that Saori is okay. She's gone.]

August 11th ~ In the Woods

[She couldn't stay in the village. Not after what had happened. Neji, her twin, the younger sister to two perfect strangers. Hitting Uchiha Sasuke-kun. In public. Kissing Rin Okumura. Being rather familiar with perfect strangers...

But the most horrible in her opinion was how easy it had been to forget Naruto-kun. How simple it had been for him to be married to another woman, to only see her as some distant relative through marriage a few times over. H-how replaceable she'd been to everyone around her.

She'd needed space to deal with it all. To process her emotions and her pain, physical, mental and emotional.

It didn't help that she'd had her arm only attended to by someone who hadn't actually healed her with medical ninjutsu or the magic she'd seen some of the other residents of Luceti using. No, it was in a splint and the pain medication that she'd been giving had worn off.

And yet, she was still avoiding going back to have her arm looked at by Sakura-san or Ino-san. She didn't want to deal with any of her friends at that  point in time. Not until she was ready.]


August 15th ~ In the Woods Still

[It had only been a matter of time before someone else found her. So, she wasn't at all surprised to be face-to-face with her new visitor.]

I have been expecting you.

[OOC: Depending on how good of a tracker your character is, Hinata may or may not be seen. Also, special abilities will probably make it easier for you to find her. Since she's a ninja.]

[Action]

[Hinata is in the kitchen on the floor of the apartment building she shares with the other shinobi, writing up a list of things she wants to do and people she wishes to see. If anyone looks over her shoulder, it would look something like this:

1. Visit Naruto-kun and his parents - bring red bean mochi?
2. Shikamaru-kun, Chouji-kun, and Kida-kun - bring chips of some kind or cookies
3. Ino-san and Tenten-san - Tea and cookies, remember to mention shopping trip to Tenten-san
4. Neji-niisan and Lee-san - Dinner
5. Asuma-sensei - Bring him an actual meal
6. Kiba-kun and Akamaru - find jerky for both and see about serving steaks for dinner with him
7. Stop by the clinic and check in on patients
8. Attempt to find something for a thank you dinner for Sakura-san
9. Clean apartment from head-to-toe tomorrow

She nods to herself as she rolls up her sleeves and stands up. None of the things she wishes to make is going to be easy and it will be a few days before some of them will be ready. But first, she needs to get ingredients, so she is going to take a trip to the grocery store and then come back to cook.

Later, she can be found at the grocery store, gathering the items she wanted for her huge projects.

Or, you can find her coming and going from the small village clinic that she works at a few hours in the morning.

Or, hello, if you're on her list, she's ringing your door bell with gifts.]
